Robert Stephen Simon Shows Stunning Auto Art at Concours De Elegance in Boca Raton
APtravelnews-Boca Raton, FL.-February 25, Concours D Elegance Stunning Auto Show featured some of the most beautiful pieces of world industrial art in iron known to man, or woman. The western world revolves around the tire as much as anything else known to modern man, and it is no wonder we all love to capture this love of the wheel, and iron that rides on it, with high art and photography. Well, I met a man that does this day in and day out. Robert Stephen Simon Studio’s shows off the finest possible art depictions of automotive history, and collective passion fever for the car in oil. While I was visiting him at his display at the Concours De Elegance in Boca Raton this past weekend, auto buffs came by to order painted art of their pride and joy Rolls, Auburns and Vettes. As I observed, they knew no matter what the price, they were getting the best of the best artists to treat their “babies” with the best brush-strokes possible. His Agent, Shawn DeRosa repeatedly reminded me to get Simons prize winning image of a silver Corvette in the picture I was taking. Well, here it is! And, it is most incredibly beautiful, as a piece of painted art!
Car Show Hottest in The Nation: Concours D’Elegance

February 24th—7th Annual Boca Raton Concours D’Elegance was a whole lot of fun for everyone that visited the millions of dollars-worth of antique and collectible motorcycles and automobiles, the average guy and gal could only dream about! Ever see tongues hanging out, sure at a girlie show and wet tee-shirt contest, but at a car show? I did! My tongue was too busy helping process the great foods on display too! Heck, at $60-bucks a plastic plate full, it still tasted um, um great! Sure you could taste some great vittles’ there, but $60 bucks a head. Well, this was the Concours D’Elegance, and after you paid $20 bucks to park your car, $60 bucks to get in, and $60 bucks to eat some of the fine food local restaurants put out for car and motorcycle watchers, you probably would be able to buy, if it were for sale one of the million and multi-million dollar vehicles. I was there as a media guest, so I was able to afford to write this misle-us writers now-a-days are not living so high on the hog with the current governmental disaster we are facing.
Yes, from all over the U.S.A. autos were judged, and there were many trophies given out, but I enjoyed people watching-the wide-open mouths of folks that saw many of the finest hunks of iron that ever graced a dirt, concrete or macadam road of the past, and present with their exhausts and white-wall tires. I was there to take some pictures of early classics, and when you see the images I made, with me even getting on Channel 12 as a car model (huh) me a car model? Yes, at least for this one shoot! I asked the owner of the Chevy convertible what it would take in todays anemic-dollars what this $2900-brand new in it’s year would cost me now? He ansered I’d sell it for 65-75-K. Good profit I’d say! Nah! I’d rather have the car than the nearly worthless paper! Just take a look at Italy, I sold an article on sharks to an Italian magazine, and they sent me a check for 475-million Lira ($475-bucks) I couldn’t even take a dent out of my car for that!

Miami Boat Show-A Candy Store For Men and Women
APtravelnews-February 16, Miami, FL–The Miami Boat Show was a thriller even from Manila! Boats from all over the world were on display that ellicited oohs, and ahhs from show goers, and was truly a happening for anyone with a hankering to live the dream. Most in attendance were doing just that, in a dream, as who, but the wonderfully rich could afford even the taxes on some of the mega yachts on display. But have no fear, there were all kinds of rubber boats and fiberglass skiffs under $15-K with financing to boot. However, this boat owner from the past (me) contend that if you have to finance a boat, don’t! A boat is supposed to be a pleasure toy, and way to enjoy the outdoors in all it’s splendour. Paying a loan for it just doesn’t compute in the pleasure department. A vehicle is something you need for transportation, and a must- have in todays society so you can get to work, take a vacation, go shopping for whatever, and take the kids to school. So, if you have to finance a car, buy a slightly used one that has already depreciated, has all the extras already put on, and in it, and maybe has a scratch that you won’t have to worry yourself over. Same with a boat, buy one for cash only if it’s also slightly used, and full price depreciated, enjoy all the goo-gah’s that the last guy already put on, and in it, and have fun in the sun, buddy boy!

Berry Fresh Hits a Home-Run With Us!
APtravelnews-Feb. 7th-Port St. Lucie, W FL.–Barb and I visit restaurants every day, and we particularly enjoy great fresh fruits with our meals. Berry Fresh Restaurants name is spot on!
Breakfast or lunch, this restaurant is at the top of it’s game. Sometimes it’s hard to get a table here for one great reason ( that is, if your not necessarily waiting on line) they are just good, good, great!
With creative lunch options such as salmon with pears salad (WOW) Monte Cristo sandwich, a Crab Benedict egg special, one of many types of Benedict Arnolds favorites) and breakfast choices that take the word ordinary out of the same old, same old, corn flakes, or sunnyside up’s, they offer omelets, and other fare that anyone could call home about. Of course, they do have all the standards as well, such as bacon and eggs, pancakes with syrup, scrambled eggs, but they go way out of their way to make things different too! Notice the special infused tea set on the table, it makes “killer” tea that is memorable, and makes the word “tea” syonymous with terrific flavors.
